Recallers 2018 Video Contest Round One
When Recallers first opened in 2008, it pioneered online dog training, and has become a wildly popular and much-loved foundation resource for people and dogs around the globe. But, as anyone who has ever been part of our Recallers community will tell you… it is so much more than a foundation dog training resource.
How do you fully explain Recallers? We can say that it’s great online dog training that will set you up for success, no matter what your starting point. We can tell you all the ‘things’; that is easy enough. What is hard to explain is how it makes you feel…. how it gives you the best relationship possible with your dog…. how it can help YOU be the best that you can be. How it can genuinely change your life.
Each year we run a video contest to celebrate our Recallers members. Our members are all over the world, all different ages, all different backgrounds, all different ranges of physical abilities, and all different levels of dog training experience … all united in the commitment they have for their dogs. The stories shared by our Recallers community go a long way to explaining the very essence of ‘what Recallers is’, and how that commitment to dogs can turn into so much more.
We LOVE celebrating dogs and the people who love them by sharing a selection of our Recallers members videos here on my blog. If you are reading this, we know that you are a dog lover who is committed to your dog, and will enjoy the short video stories just as much as we do.

Over the next few days, we will be posting three semi-final rounds of short video stories for you to vote on. Pick your top two favourites in each round. We will finish the contest with the “Finale” where the top six videos of the week (the top two of each round as voted for by you) will go head to head to compete to be in the top three of the year. It’s your choice! Scroll down to view the videos in Round One, and then cast your vote for the two that touched you the most. Visit Round Two and Round Three as well for inspiration.

So hard to choose. My absolute favorite is Stephanie and the trials of a rescue dog with an injury to boot. My hat goes off to all. I’m just beginning my journey with Recallers and already see a difference with my willful yr old dobie. With the help of the program and time I hope to have the success I saw in the videos. The people and their canine companions are inspiring for sure. Congrats!

Video 2 from Stefanie touched my heart. It’s so wonderful when people take care of rescue dogs and give them a new life with a loving family. And with the help of Recallers that is the best way to do it. Well done Stefanie!

Only two?? Those were all great! I was really touched by them. The dogs show such great self control. I voted for the first time family dog because he is their first dog and I know that it must have been intimidating to start out fresh, not knowing how to train a dog. Many Recallers (like me) have or have had multiple dogs and been through many different schools of dog training. The time and care they put into teaching this dog several tricks shows that the concepts of Recallers can be applied to teaching a dog anything you like, beyond “just” a recall. I wish this program had been around when I started dog training years ago. This family is doing a great job with their dog.
Each was special in its own way and touched my heart. Some had me in tears of joy. While I could only vote for 2 they are all winners.
All the stories are so inspirational! I voted for Stefanie. Taking on a dog with behavioral issues AND a broken leg is amazing! She certainly saved this dog’s life.
