Welcome to the Grand Finale of the 2020 Recallers video contest. The top two video stories in each of the three rounds are meeting here and you get to decide the top three winners! All of the videos have been amazing, and honour all of our Recallers over the years, and everyone the world over who has made the choice to believe in their dog. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to vote and support the dog lovers who put their hearts into sharing their stories.
For those of you who haven’t joined us for the other days, please make sure to go back and view the videos in Round One, Round Two and Round Three. Even though voting has closed for the previous days, the videos are all touching and worth the watch! Thank you for honouring your two favourite stories with your vote. Your eyes might not be completely dry after watching the videos. Never underestimate how much you can achieve when you choose to believe you and your dog can be awesome. That’s what was on my mind this week, so I did a podcast on the topic, and you can tune in to Shaped By Dog Episode 8 for how to “Get Your Dog in the Belief Loop of Awesome”.

My 2 1/2 year old GSD and I are still on our Recallers journey, and we have both learned so much. I have renewed hope that she will be every bit the dog I believe she can be. They’re all brilliant… but particularly relate to two – Kevin’s story of working with his high drive Brittany. Great lesson in working with the dog you have and unlocking their potential (and their owner’s!) using Recallers. And I love Lisa’s way of showing not to just ‘retire’ older dogs to the sofa and a walk round the block.
Brilliant stories – all are winners. So inspiring and so hard to chose. A real credit to the Recaller methodology. and the perseverance of the trainers and dogs.
Amazing demonstration of this wonderful training! I voted to Belinda because Kangaroos are a HUGE distraction and so is the cat food, wow! I also voted for Kay as these 2 doggo’s are just like mine and to see them charge into their crates when the door bell rings is my dream. You all have inspired me to pick up my act and get back to regular training.

Pick 2??? Inconceivable! They all brought tears to my eyes, especially the seniors. Who doesn’t have a soft spot for senior dogs?
4 out of 6 of these videos I voted for in the previous rounds, so it was a difficult choice. I was hoping my best friend and fellow Recaller Celine would make it to the finale, but Kevin had her by a whisker. 😉 So I voted for Lisa, as she and I are very similar in the fact that we both joined with senior Labradors who were previously trained the old school way and saw them bloom under the guidance of Susan’s program. I also voted for Kay, as I loved her creativity in the video and watching it was so much fun.
I enjoyed all the videos. It is amazing to see how the dogs with their problems were transformed into well behaved dogs.

The veteran, Jack, was inspirational and embodies the true spirit of Recallers. So important to keep our veteran dogs engaged and recallers is awesome way to keep our older dogs active both physically and mentally. Great use of the games and the happy engaged face of Jack was priceless.

All the videos were inspiring; it was hard to pick just two. You are all winners! I hope to get there with my dog. In fact, I had a winning moment as I watched these videos – someone just walked by the house with two dogs, and Taz sat and watched quietly. A sign of great things to come!
Gives me hope that ” yes ” it is possible that one day my new puppy could go from being a real handful to a happy well behaved dog . Just love watching all of Susan’s training techniques, l have learnt things also about myself. Absolutely Brilliant.
