This weekend I will be hosting something that I am pretty sure has never been done in the agility world before. It is a three-day seminar with 8 agility handlers (most of which have been extremely successful in agility with past dogs) and the entire three days will be live streamed. Now, none of that may be particularly revolutionary, especially for us because we have been live streaming dog training for six years now! However, what’s different is all that we have planned for our online audience… and don’t be worried if you are not around to see this live… we have made it possible for all of our subscribers to have access to all three days of the seminar for an entire month!
Here is why this workshop will be so unique; first of all the mic I will be wearing as I teach will be piped directly into the live stream audience so you can hear every word I say while I’m teaching.
Next, we have a dedicated live stream host… Dr. Christine Boisvert is one of our most experienced Say Yes instructors and is rearranging her own classes in order to be the “colour commentator” for our on screen community.
Christine is no stranger to our students as she has been an instructor with us for ten years now. In addition, she is an accomplished agility competitor in her own right having represented Canada at the AKC Invitational with her first agility dog Riesling, a Doberman Pinscher.
This weekend’s focus for the young dogs participating is:
1) Evaluate the foundational elements of each of those 8 young dogs coming to the workshop.
2) Introduce brand new skills… these are things I have never shared before. I always have new ideas and after I “experiment” with my own dogs I love sharing them with others… get ready… I’ve been saving up several for this weekend!
3) Create a strategic train plan to take these young dogs right up to being ready to step into the agility ring.

[AUDIT OUR ONLINE SEMINAR] Developing Young Talent
Explore brand new ways to teach start line stays, a brand new way to go about teaching turns, as well as brand new jump grids and body awareness exercises, and of course as always, exciting handling skill sets to help stretch these young dogs’ minds! Here is a sneak peek into some of the activities planned for the weekend!
Today I am grateful for Christine for taking time out of her busy schedule to be a part of this special weekend here at Say Yes!
It’s going to be great BTW Great Article
Thank you! loving the dogs 🙂
It seams to be a great circuit……but only if you have those swings. I don´t have, and don’s know were here, in Portugal is being sold. Can you please tell how can I do one of my one?
This content is amazing! I hope you make it available again soon!
This seminar looks wonderful! Will it be available for replay late? I am in the process of training my Shiba Inu, but this breed is definitely not the easiest of breeds to train.
…replay “later”, sorry for typo
That was phenomenal! Thank you so much.
Spectacular weekend! Thanks to all of the Say Yes team and the folks who let us audit their sessions! It was beyond my expectations which were very high!!! Thanks to EVERYONE!!
One question: Will any of the H360 team members be at the Tulsa agility trials next weekend? I would LOVE to see some of you in action.
Thank you ALL, once again! What a phenomenal gift this seminar was!
Betsy
Here in central Illinois we have daylight savings on Sunday at 2am. Does Toronto do this or will your time stay the same?
Yes we do that as well Laura.
This is really exciting!! Thanks for doing this.
I have started Baby Wisp on some of the things I saw in the “sneak preview” so I feel Like we are on the road to Success!!!
I am sooo excited. After having confidence issues with my last 2 dogs ( outside influences) I am still working with them with H360 and Agility Nation. My older boy lets me work on “me”( he just worries about the goings on at a trial) so he is happy to train with me at home and class, and he is a wonderful agility partner to help ME work on my handling! He does whatever I ask in training, so I know right away if I am not communicating correctly with him.
But I have a tremendous 6 month old “super puppy” ( I just love him) I got him at 4 months old, and at day 1 started on Susan’s Prep and Puppy exercises. Looking so forward to this seminar, and starting my baby boy RIGHT!!!
Unfortunately I will be unable to watch it live because we will be trialing but looking forward to watching it later.
CAN’T WAIT!!!! Christine will be a FABULOUS commentator!!!
I hope you will take a group photo of Feature’s pups! And, photoshop Moose in the photo? Pretty PLEEZZE! ????????????
I have to work all day on Friday. wondering how soon will be able to watch the recorded version. will I be able to watch what went on Friday as early as Friday evening?
This will be so fun! Can never get enough peaks into Say Yes! Christine is awesome, you can listen to her forever!!! Is the music a Starsky original? love it!
Yes Jenny all the music is Starsky’s own. Thank you!
Can’t wait. This is going to be great!!
That was brilliant Susan, thank you for putting out for us all to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it Annie.
Amazing as always Susan! Can’t wait!
What age are these puppies?cMy pup is 9 months and our instructors have not introduced any equipment, jumps, jump bumps, tunnels yet. Looks too advanced for my pup. We are working targeting on a travel board, start lines with release to toys etc. very basic stuff.
The “puppy” in the video is just over a year old. We start puppies reading distances with jump bumps as in Susan Salo’s puppy jump program. We don’t add bars until they are 7-8 months old and don’t do any sequencing until they are close to a year old.
If you havent started any jump training and your dog is 1 year would you still start with the jump bumps.?
Can not wait to audit this great opportunity. Thanks Susan and fellow agility collegues for your dedication
Thank you Susan ! I can´t wait!
Wowsers! Wish I could cancel everything so I could watch non stop all weekend. So glad you are posting this for us to watch later. Will be a phenomenal learning event. Thank you, thank you
