I just got the official word (and poster) that this year’s Canada Cup event is going to be held on Canada Day! So no longer do you need to take extra days away from work as there will be both a Canadian and an American holiday surrounding the weekend!
But wait, it gets even better than that because our Say Yes Summer camp will be held the three days immediately before the Canada Cup.
But wait some more because it gets even better when I point out that the weekend before is the CKC fundraiser trail held at the same location as the Canada Cup (ie get your dog used to the site and the equipment).
Now I have your summer vacation planned!
You come up the last weekend of June support our CKC FCI fundraiser trial for 2 days, have a day off to sightsee, attend our 3 day Say Yes Summer Camp (45 minutes away) that leads right into the Canada Cup!
It is 7 day agility mega-event not to be missed. You and your dog can get a feel of the venue and the equipment at one trial — work your handling at our camp and be in perfect shape to do your best at the Canada Cup the next weekend.
Mark your calendars now, don’t say I didn’t warn you! Check out some of my previous blog post about the Canada Cup event, it really is one of my favourite agility events of the year!
Today I am grateful for the chance to plan ahead!
I too have been waiting on the Say Yes Camp schedule to plan vacation…I think it is just a teaser to tell us about camp that week on your blog before you have posted it on your website…=D
I really, really want to go to a CC, but with a 12″ Cardigan Corgi, making her jump 16″ is just not a sacrifice I’m willing to make. I’m hoping maybe this year, there will be a Specials category?!
I’ll be watching the website with my fingers crossed!
What camp will be at Say Yes?
While the event sounds spectacular….the Say Yes camp holds even more weight for me 😉
Man I wish I lived closer! Well, the family *has* been planning a trip up to Canada at some point…
Sounds like an exciting week. Count me in. Both the CKC Fundraiser and Canada Cup were great agility competitions last year. The indoor arena was a real blessing one day when it rained last year.
Yeehaw – been waiting for a camp announcement and hoping might be able to tie to something else! I even tentatlively booked that week off.
Is the camp going to have sessions suitable for less advanced dogs (does all the contacts and weaves and has started competing)?
Lori
I was waiting to plan my vacation until you announced your next camp!
I have always wanted to watch, but for the last 2 years have been out of the country.
Looking forward to seeing it this year!
If they need volunteers I am a willing and somewhat able body!
How about the first person who signs up for all 3 events, get’s a discount? Pick me! Pick me!
I missed it last year- I really want to go this year -even if it is as a spectator or volunteer
