Merry Christmas 2011!

Posted on 12/25/11 68 Comments

Today I would like to take the time to give a shout of joy from my family to yours on Christmas day. Regardless if you join me in celebrating the birth of Christ today or whatever your custom, today gives us reason to spread the joy of the season to all. I hope your day is filled with great memories of Christmas’s past and of new customs for those you of you looking to create amazing memories for future Christmases.

May you day be a blessed one filled with love, if not surrounded by your human family then by your four footed family. John and I head down to my brothers for their traditional roast beef dinner (music to the Brit’s heart:)) with lots and lots of veggies for the vegan girl:) and lots of love and laughter for all.

I leave you with this Christmas smile as I send out a prayer to “Ethel” and to any of you who are starting a new tradition as you spend your first Christmas after the loss of a loved one in 2011. Peace on earth.

Today I am grateful for the love of family, friends and dogs this Christmas morning.

According to IMDB the fifth santa in the I love Lucy Christmas episode was
        A. Cameron Grant

I guess they had to have a “real” Santa for the kids.

Mr Grant was born in Montreal Canada. According to IMDB, and he has been in lots of films and TV episodes mostly uncredited.

Merry Christmas, Susan & John! John, may you enjoy that awesome beef roast (my Grandmother came over from England and gave me her love of beef roast and vegetables!) and Susan may you endulge in every good vegetable to your hearts content! Thank you for the wonderful presents you have given us throughout 2011. I’ve enjoyed every one with delight! My parents live in Iowa, USA (so far from Arizona) and I’ve only got to spend 2 Christmas’ with them in the last 40 years…. I sing this song every Christmas Day for them…”I’ll be home for Christmas, if only in my dreams…”

I’m so glad I found you! :o } God Bless & keep you.

Merry Christmas to you, Susan, your family (2- and 4-legged) and everybody reading this. May 2012 be filled with new memories made with family; friends, new and old; and special times spent with our dogs, whether taking a nap on the sofa or running a course or learning a new skill. Merry Christmas from North Carolina!

BTW: The 5th Santa was Cameron Grant who was playing the real Santa in that episode.

Thanks Susan I really needed that this Christmas morning. I had to let my 12 year old heart dog go to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. It’s a sad day for me here in MS. Rose was my MACH and UDX Sheltie along with lots of other titles along the way but most of all she was there for me through some of the roughest times of my life.
Thank you for reading this and I know you guys understand how hard this is.

In addition to all the joy I have received from you re training dogs (I’m still not very good, but I’m enjoying it) I have received from you inspiration, understanding, patience, and how to be very humble. Your knowledge of the human brain, as well as the canine brain is amazing. Have a blessed Christmas.

    Happy Holidays to all!

Susan, I am simply blown away you would take time to write us. I, too, am so happy and thankful you would make these courses available to us. So many of us are isolated from others of like thinking and to be able to learn, question and share through your courses is a blessing. I know it is an additional revenue source for Say Yes, but it means so much to all of us too. I feel as though I have another extended family. I also love that you are vegan! Says so much!
Vegan too, we will feast on homegrown bounty, including seitan roast and so much more!

    Dear Susan
I want to thank you for sharing all your wonderful dog training knowledge with me, even though i live on the other side of the world (New Zealand). While I only recently discovered Say Yes, already I can see the improvement in my dogs behaviour and the strengthening of our bond, which means a lot to me as I truly love my dogs. Yesterday (Christmas day) my 2 dogs were welcomed to visit 2 homes of family members for Christmas festivities, and everyone commented on how well behaved they were. I have you to thank for teaching me how to shape them to behave in this way, so thank you! Merry Christmas to all the Say Yes family and of course the 4 legged members!
