We Are Live!

Check us out, we have finally got all of the changes made to the blog so that my new e-course is ready to take registrations! Click on the video and you will get more details about the program. At the bottom of this post I am going to let you know what you should expect about the registration process itself. The first order of business is please be patient.

Because registration is limited, I anticipate many of your are going to try and get in immediately, before the class fills. This may jam the system somewhat. Please be patient and maybe come back and try  later.  For now, sit back relax, watch this video to learn about the program, then read the bottom of this page and I will fill you in with what is upcoming immediately.

If at all possible, I recommend you pick either the “Advanced” or “Brilliant” level for this course. On top of getting the extras such as the ebook and the webinars, the biggest advantage that I see to these slightly higher priced levels, are those live coaching calls with me. I will be doing these calls over the internet, you can use your phone or use your computer to access each of the calls. Definitely worth the price of the course all on their own.

Once you pick the package that will suit your needs best, click “add to cart” and you will be sent to the Clickerdogs portion of PayPal. This could take a minute. (I am sorry for those that hate to use PayPal, if it really is a major problem you can contact info @ clickerdogs . com and we can try and find you another solution)

Once you are finished at PayPal you will be re-directed back here so you can create your own log in identification. That will give you access to secret places on this blog:).  Like I said, please be patient, this is our first time so we may have the odd kink.  Ready to Sign Up??  Then click on the Banner below!

If you have any questions, concerns or hallucinations about the course please don’t be shy, just leave me a comment here on the blog.

Today I am grateful for Jason and Andrea of Webmanna.com trust me, if you are considering ANYTHING website, blog or internet related, you will want to have these two on your team.

I congratulate you on a brilliant idea Susan and I hope to sign up, along with my daughter and our 4 dogs – waiting for her to get home from work as she is the Paypal person (I hate it!).
However, we live and work in France. Different time zone, can’t be up in the night for the on-line training, due to having to get up for work – boring, but pays for the course! lol !
I am interested in the Advanced Level and would like at least to have access to the on-line training – even if it is the next day and I can only learn from other people’s input and your answers.
I see you are hoping to make this available, if possible – just wanted to add my voice to those asking for such a facility. No need to answer, as you already have to others!
Thanks again for a brilliant idea.

PS – Do you separate your dogs during training, or do you do as we normally do – 3 watching and waiting, whilst one plays? You can answer that one if you like! lol !

I’m considering your brilliant course since it has videos for future reference, but wondering if it’s a “brilliant” idea. I have not done agility but have grand plans for a Ch.,OTCH,MACH. That dream dog is due to be born Aug.7. Do you think this would be beneficial for a newbie?

Absolutely Becky this is perfect for newbies, it would be ideal to get more of your newbie friends to join you because it is far far easier to start of correctly the first time then it is to go back and make changes once behaviours are not how you like them. The tendency in North America in particular is to create a careful (ie slower) agility dog. This program is going to make sure that doesn’t happen to you:)

It’s amazing how fast this happened, Susan! Just ten days or so ago, it seems, you were waking up and deciding to do this kind of course, and now, there it all is – 31 lessons and three versions. Wow. You are as speedy, it seems, as your wonderful dogs.

I signed up for the basic and am really looking forward to beginning. (Crate Games and Twelve Poles were really beneficial, and I know this will be very worthwhile too.)

H Judy yes you can login at work however we have an ip tracker and if it looks like people are “sharing” the course you will be shut down. So if your partner wants to follow along everyday it would be wise to get two memberships. Think of it as if you are taking your dog to class. If each of you would like to bring a dog it would require a second registration. I think everyone for your understanding here.

    Hi Susan,

I can’t view the video so I’m a little unsure about course contents. I have a 6 month old puppy who has a recall that holds up pretty well under distractions (lesson learned from currently competing dog – didn’t put in the effort with her that I put in with my retired dog). My issue is when I reach for him, he runs like hell. So I’ve got a great recall because he ties that in his mind with cookies but a generally crappy relationship in everything else :) Are there elements in the online recall program that would improve our bonding? Or do you think I’m better off just working through Ruff Love to start?

@Tracey wow, how timely. I just posted to the members section the first “Bonus Game” and it has to do with exactly the problem you are describing! Yes Ruff Love is a good plan but during the RL it is really important that you build tons of value for the dog choosing correctly. This program will set the dog up every day to do just that!

@Andrea the “bonus” games will be posted to this blog (in one of the secret passages just for members:)) and yes there may be videos associated with any of these games. Starting August 1st everyone will be sent an email reminding them to check the members section for their new game that day. I will also try to sent the written portion of the post out in an email but that isn’t always successful as with these subscription lists there are always a bunch of emails that don’t get to their intended end user.

Forgot to mention that when I was trying to register yesterday, if I used Firefox, the “Pick your Package” page didn’t display correctly and you weren’t able to scroll down far enough to ‘pick’ either the Advanced or the Brilliant level, only the Basic. I opened the page with Safari and it displayed fine and I was able to click on the Advanced course.

I tried again this morning and same thing happens. Not sure if it’s just my silly computer or if it would affect all Macs, but thought I’d mention it in case others are experiencing the same problem and want to register for something other than Basic!

Hi Susan – I’ve studied ABA and positive reinforcement through Susan Friedman (mostly focusing on birds), and have been having fun just starting to work with my parent’s rescue dog. I love everything I’ve read on your blog and am very interested in registering. Will it matter if I work with Sam who doesn’t live with me? I could get over there real often but probably not every day. He learns behaviors extremely fast on the things I’ve taught him so far.

Lisa, just don’t over do it on poor Sam. Because you can’t get there, with your heart in the right place you will tend to try to get in several lessons at once. Better to spread the course out over 60 days and do a couple of short sessions whenever you can see Sam, that will work just fine.

Hi Olga we provided the option of people getting all of the video clips when we offered the “Brilliant” level so that anyone what wants a permanent library of the video clips used in this course can get it! Think of it like being in a daily class with me and I am doing these demos for you, once the demo is over it is up to your good note taking or memory to keep the information clear. The difference is here is that you can replay that demo over and over for as long as you like for as long as your membership lasts!

As far as the course content goes I am hoping to be able to send you a copy of each daily lesson in an email (again depends upon our technology here) so you will be able to keep a permanent record of each lesson. We are trying to go above and beyond anything you would get if you were in classes here with me.

I won’t be able to run at all for at least 3 months at best. Do the games require a lot of handler running? Will I get enough out of it by taking the course now, or perhaps I should hope for round 2?

Hi Barb, yes running would always be best but all games can be altered. Actually we are fortunate to have someone in a wheelchair signed up for this course. Together we are going to modify games so that we can squeeze the most action out of each game for the dog that we can all the while creating a template for other disabled people to join in on the fun in the future.

First of all the course is set up that you can work through it at your own pace in your own time so for you and the many others that have told me they will be taking vacations in August, it is no problems. Next the video thing, we have solutions we are working through. We will make sure everyone has access to all of the video clips we will be using on this course and if we get part way through and can’t get it working for you we will give you a full refund. No problem at all.

I was also wondering if an upgrade from advanced to buy the video would be available as I have all of your dvds/books. Thank you very interested in course!

We are working on the possibility of various upgrades to accommodate everyone’s needs but we can’t make any promises!

I am trying to purchase the advanced course and paying through PayPal but every time I get to Billing information and hit submit I get a message “An error occurred and we were unable to complete your request.” Is the advanced course full?

I just tried to purchase the basic package and I get the same error message. Is the website down or is it something that I am doing wrong?

Celeste, it should work fine, if you are still having difficulties please contact us directly. Use the “Customer service” tab on the front of the blog.

I got an email saying I could go and see the first of the bonus games, but when I click on it, I don’t see anything of the sort. Is it just not up yet or am I doing something wrong?

Kathy you should be able to log in fine now. All members when you come to the blog you should be able to easily click on the Recallers tab at the top on the home page. If you can’t get access through that tab (or the login panel on the right) please contact Jason. jasonmrigler AT gmail DOT com

Sorry about the struggles guys, first time bugs I guess!

I think Kathy is experiencing the same thing as me. I’m logged in, but I can’t see the Homework Post or the Pre-view Game post. When I click on the links to those post, I’m taken to a page that tells me that I’m trying to access “Members Only” content and invites me to sign-up. At the same time, my status in the sidebar shows my name and confirms that I am logged in.

      Hi Mary and Kathy,
I joined on Monday and had exactly the same problem you are describing here. I tried several different things to no avail. Finally I waited about 5 hours and then instead of using the provided link, I just went to Susan’s Blog home page. Then I tried signing in from there and presto the page refreshed and I was in the Members section of the blog which had the Bonus Game, etc. After that, the link worked as well. I am not sure if it just took time for things to get straight, or if it was the route I took thru the home page but if you are still having trouble try that and see if it helps. Good Luck!

    Hi Susan,
I noticed that may dog responds to me way better then to the rest of the family, especially on the recall.

Would they all need to go through your recall programme? Or it’s better if I do the programme, and ask them to practice afterwards?

What would be your recommendation for other members of a family?

    Thanks,
    Jelena

Hi guys. Having the same problem. Says I am logged in but cannot access the links for this group. I finally got here by clicking every message and then Presto! here I was. Guessing this will be fixed soon and if not, I will be back when I have time to punch buttons!

Hi Susan. I am considering the brilliant course for my 2 yr old Aussie who is my first agility dog (not competing yet–ways to go…). I live in Calif but will be on vacation from Aug 2-18th so will miss at least one of the group live calls, and of course will not be working with my dog during that time frame. Will you be accessible for any specific questions by email?

Hi Kerry, I won’t be answering any questions about recalls privately since I must consider the needs of all of the members and I don’t want anyone to miss out on potentially pertinent information. However it is my goal that any one that posts a question from the member’s area will get an answer either by me or one of my senior instructors that are signed on as well.

Will we be able to download the online video clips to a file or onto our own DVD?

Hi Kerry, no you won’t be able to download the video clips but you will have at least 4 months to go back and look at them and on the brilliant level of membership you will get a dvd with a copy of all of them. Think of those video clips as demos in a class you are coming to of mine. At class when I do a demo, you take good notes because that demo is short lived! Here you have 4-6 months (depending upon the level you sign up on) to go back and see those demos over and over again until you really have the concepts and the mechanics down pat!
