Belly Laughs

Today is first day of another puppy camp. I am extra excited since 19 of the 24 puppies are less than 6 month old. Little sponges at this age, really. It is amazing how much faster you can teach key dog training concepts when there is little to no history of inappropriate, competing reinforcement to screw things up! We have another interesting mix again this time around with 15 different breeds; from a Mudi to an Airedale to a French Bulldog, can you say F-U-N? Amazingly only 4 Border Collie pups this time, weird how we get “Border Collie camps” and then “ABC camps” ( an expression borrowed from the Brit’s “Anything But a Collie”).
After all these years, I think this is our 10th year doing puppy camps, it is still my favourite. Puppy camp, a guarantee for belly laughs. Those of you that couldn’t get in this weekend our next puppy camp is planned for December. Watch the upcoming newsletters for more details.

That was funny! My daughter is about her age, and they love to repeat anything you say to them at that age (you really have to watch what you say, or it’ll come out of their mouth at most likely a really inappropriate time!).

I actually just got my belly laugh of the day as I was watching a bit of your 2×2 weavepole video as our training progresses with my young Mali (I trained my GSD with your 2×2 also but that was about 5 years ago with the article)Anyway I have watched the video several times but needed a refresh and I started cracking up on the very end of Chapter 10 I never noticed the parade of cats walking along the back fence line. Oh my that is sooo funny. Have many noticed them?
